The 10 Highest Rated Recruits in the TXHSFB State Championships

These are the top 10 highest-rated recruits playing in the 2023 UIL State Championships:

1. WR Dakorien Moore - Duncanville: The No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2025 stars on offense at WR and defense at CB. 

2. CB Devin Sanchez - Galena Park North Shore: Already rated as DCTF five-star. Sanchez is set to decide between Texas A&M, Alabama and Ohio State on Jan. 6.

3. DE Colin Simmons - Duncanville: The five-star edge rusher is committed to the Texas Longhorns. 

4. DE Kevin "KJ" Ford Jr. - Duncanville: The 2026 four-star is rated as the No. 1 prospect in the state per the 247Sports Composite. 

5. DT DJ Sanders - Bellville: A monster on the Brahmas' defensive front is already considered the top DT in the 2025 cycle.

6. ATH Terry Bussey - Timpson: The Texas A&M commit is rated as the No. 1 ATH in the state in 2024.  

7. DE Chad Woodfork - Summer Creek: One of the highest-rated edge rushers in the 2025 cycle already has offers from Texas, Texas Tech, Georgia and more.

8. Deondrae "Tiger" Riden - DeSoto: The No. 1-rated RB in the 2025 cycle already has Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma offers.

9. LB Xavier Atkins - Summer Creek: The LSU commit shot up the rankings lists with a solid senior season, marking him as the lone defender on the Mr. Texas Football finalists list.

10. RB Caden Durham - Duncanville: The four-star LSU commit is an explosive runner with 10.28 100-meter speed.
