The Dave Campbell’s Texas Football All-Texas College Football Teams, as seen in the summer edition of the magazine, include players from 10 of the 13 FBS programs in the Lone Star State. Texas Tech leads the way with 12 selections, followed by Texas with 11 and Texas A&M with 8.
The lists, which include a first and second team on offense and defense, consists of 56 players – 28 on offense and 28 on defense. The growing gap between the Power Four and the G6 is evident. Of the 56 selections, 51 of them play in the P4 compared to only five from the G6 ranks. No players from North Texas, Sam Houston, or UTEP were selected.
