Baylor head coach Scott Drew has reportedly taken his name out of the running for the Kentucky men's basketball head coaching job, according to multiple reports. 

Drew has spent 21 years at Baylor and won the national title in 2021, the first Division I men's basketball national title in the state of Texas since Texas Western in 1966. His family's ties and satisfaction with the city and program were reportedly his biggest reasons for staying. 

Over the past few days, Drew was reportedly the top target for Kentucky following the hiring of John Calipari by Arkansas, it's highly regarded as one of, if not the biggest job in college basketball. Drew, along with UConn men's head coach Dan Hurley and current Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan were reportedly the top targets for the position. News broke Wednesday morning that a plane from Waco was headed to Lexington, Kentucky. Internet speculation was that it was Drew flying in to meet top brass at Big Blue Nation, but Drew later posted this photo from Mi Casita in Waco.

KWTX later confirmed that the plane was for Drew's family who were taken to see Lexington if Drew were to accept the position.
