Ingleside (9-0, 3-0) vs. Sinton (6-2, 3-0): The 15-4A Division II crown is on the line on the Coastal Bend as unbeaten and upstart Ingleside looks to take down perennial power Sinton.
Ingleside has gotten it done all year behind a dynamic offensive attack led by QB Aidan Jakobsohn and North Texas WR commit Jaydon Smith, who is among the all-time leaders statewide in touchdown receptions.
Last week Ingleside knocked off Orange Grove, 34-22, in closer game than many down on the coast anticipated.
Sinton rolled to an easy win over Corpus Christi West Oso, 49-3, last week as the Pirates have rattled off five straight wins after starting the season 1-2 and having a game cancelled.
RB Derek Garcia had a strong night for the Pirates, who overcame a slow start to rout an overmatched West Oso squad in the second half.
Sinton’s secondary will be tested against this explosive Ingleside offense, but Ingleside’s defense is going to have its hands full as well. I’m going with Sinton at home in a shootout.
