San Antonio Churchill (3-0, 1-0) vs San Antonio Johnson (2-0, 0-0): Churchill opened district play with a 28-27 overtime win over Madison last week in a game that started Saturday night and ended Monday evening due to storms that hit the San Antonio area late Saturday.

The Chargers and Madison were tied at 21 heading to overtime when the storms hit. Churchill would score on its OT series and kick the PAT. After allowing a touchdown, the Chargers stopped Madison on the two point try to escape with the victory.

Johnson has had two weeks to get ready for Churchill as it had a bye during the opening week of district play. The Jaguars rolled past San Antonio O’Connor, 47-21, in the last non-district outing two weeks ago as RB Lorenn Johnson ran for 217 yards and three touchdowns and TCU commit QB Ty Hawkins threw for 150 yards and two scores and ran for another score in the win.

This game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but due to the game finishing on Monday, UIL rules state the game must be pushed to Saturday. Johnson has a few too many playmakers for a tough and experienced Churchill squad and the bye week will give them a big edge.
