Riesel head coach Tyler Crow announced on Tuesday that he was resigning his post after two seasons to take an administrative role in another district. He posted a 14-11 overall record leading the Indians program.

Crow, who came to Riesel from Scurry-Rosser where he served as the defensive coordinator, led Riesel to a 7-6 mark in 2022 advancing to the regional semifinals in Class 2A Division I. In his first season in 2021 the Indians posted a 7-5 mark as a 3A-Division II program and advanced to the area round of the playoffs, falling to eventual state champion Franklin.

“We had two really good years here, the community and kids really bought in, I’m thankful for all the good things that happened here. Reisel’s been great to us, this is just a new season in my career and I’m going to embrace it,” said Crow.

Riesel has already posted the job vacancy on THSCA indicating the applications will be accepted until April 12 with a potential start date of April 18, indicating this will be a swift job search by Riesel ISD.
