The NFL invites 32 players from Texas teams to the NFL Combine

The NFL invited 324 college football players to the 2022 combine, which takes place in Indianapolis on March 1 through March 7. Twenty-two of the 32 invitees played at Power Five programs led by Texas A&M (9) and Baylor (7). UTSA, Houston, and SMU each produced three players. Sam Houston is sending one. North Texas, UTEP, Rice, and Texas State did not have a player invited. Full list is below. 

  • Texas A&M (9): Michael Clemons (DL), Kenyon Green (OL), Aaron Hanford (LB), Tyree Johnson (DL), DeMarvin Leal (DL), Leon O'Neal (DB), Jayden Peevy (DL), Isaiah Spiller (RB), Jalen Wydermyer (TE). 
  • Baylor (7): Kalon Barnes (DB), Terrel Bernard (LB), Trestan Ebner (RB), Jalen Pitre (DB), Abram Smith (RB), Tyquan Thornton (WR), JT Woods (DB).
  • Texas Tech (3): Dawson Deaton (OL), Erik Ezukanma (WR), DaMarcus Fields (DB). 
  • Texas (2): Cameron Dicker (K), Josh Thompson (DB).
  • TCU (1): Obinna Eze (OL).
  • Houston (3): Logan Hall (DL), Marcus Jones (DB), Pepe Williams (DB).
  • SMU (3): Grant Calcattera (TE), Danny Gray (WR), Reggie Roberson Jr. (WR). 
  • UTSA (3): Spencer Burford (OL), Sincere McCormick (RB), Tariq Woolen (DB). 
  • Sam Houston (1): Zyon McCallum (DB)
