Klein Oak 2028 RB Micah Rhodes (5’10, 185) committed to Oklahoma over offers from Texas and Texas A&M.

OU offered Rhodes a scholarship before he ever took a varsity rep.

“They made it feel like I was family,” Rhodes said. They made me a priority from the start. Coach DeMarco (Murray) believes in me; he offered me back in eighth grade, and that meant a lot."

Rhodes, who announced his decision on Nightcap with Shannon Sharpe, made a statement about his future, why he picked OU, and how he thinks about NiL. 

"I ain't chasing the money," Rhodes stated. 

"I feel like the biggest thing is, you’ve got to produce if you want money. You’ve got to produce, and I believe I’ll do that. I’m not worried about it. If I produce, I’m going to get the money that I want.”

Boasting over 25 scholarship offers, Rhodes is rated as the No. 1 RB prospect in Texas in the 2028 cycle.

The DCTX four-star broke onto the recruiting scene as a freshman at Klein Oak, collecting 934 yards and 10 touchdowns to earn 15-6A Offensive Newcomer of the Year and MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors as a freshman.

As a sophomore in 2025, Rhodes rushed for over 1,309 yards and 21 TDs  to earn 15-6A First-Team All-District and MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honors.

Scouting Report: A do-it-all running back who runs with balance and toughness, making defenders miss and breaking tackles regularly. He’s already shown he can produce at a high level, earning national honors early in his career while piling up yards and touchdowns. Runs with good patience and vision, hits holes decisively, and is becoming a real weapon as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
