Before the 2025 season kicked off, the Indiana Hoosiers had 100-1 odds to win the national championship. So, while prediction markets are an imperfect science, they do provide a snapshot of the team's offseason vibes.

All odds are via DraftKings Sportsbook.

Texas Longhorns – +750

From the moment last year's national championship ended to the moment Texas kicked off the 2025 season against Ohio State, the Longhorns were national championship favorites. Then  they became the fastest team ever to go from preseason No.1 to unranked. But Texas - and prized quarterback Arch Manning - became what everyone thought they would be by season's end, knocking off rival Texas A&M and winning the Cheez-It Bowl against Michigan.

Texas was the first team with three top ten wins in the regular season, and most pundits believe the offense got even stronger this offseason. The Longhorns have the No.3-ranked Transfer Portal class, according to 247Sports, headlined by five-star transfer WR Cam Coleman (Auburn) and a new running back tandem of Raleek Brown (Arizona State) and Hollywood Smothers (NC State).

The Longhorns are tied with Notre Dame for the second-best national championship odds.

Texas Tech – +1400

Texas Tech won its first outright conference championship since 1954 and made its first CFP appearance in program history after assembling one of the greatest Transfer Portal classes of all time. Now, the Red Raiders - and Chairman of the Board of Regents Cody Campbell - are running it back, reeling in the top-ranked Transfer Portal class in the country, per On3 Sports.

After overhauling their defensive roster with last year's class, Texas Tech has decided to split resources more evenly toward the offense following a shut out by Oregon in the Orange Bowl. Cincinnati QB Brendan Sorsby, the No.1-rated transfer in the country, headlines the group. The Red Raiders won his commitment in a recruiting battle with LSU. They're competing with blue bloods on the recruiting trail, and now for national championships.

Texas A&M – +1600

There's no argument that the Mike Elko era at Texas A&M has been a resounding success thus far. Turns out, those donors who nearly revolted when Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops was nearly hired to replace Jimbo Fisher knew what they were talking about. Stoops was fired after going 9-15 in his final two seasons, while Elko led Texas A&M to its first CFP appearance in program history.

But the Aggies must finish the season stronger if they want to raise their first national championship trophy since 1939. In Year One, Elko's squad finished 1-4 after a roaring 7-1 start. Last season, an 11-0 season ended on a sour note with a loss to rival Texas and a lackluster offensive showing in a 10-3 defeat to Miami in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
