College Station A&M Consolidated (1-0) at Forney (1-0):

A&M Consolidated has won 12 consecutive regular season games dating back to Week 11 of the 2023 season, but the Tigers will face an immense challenge this week as they head to DFW to take on 6A Forney. A&M Consolidated made easy work of Lake Belton last week in a convincing 44-17 victory. QB Amarian Moore did a little bit of everything for Consol, with nearly 300 yards of offense three touchdowns on the night. Forney opened the season last Thursday and after a long rain delay, the Jackrabbits were able to hold off Lake Highlands, 37-34. Notre Dame RB commit Javian Osborne ran for 220 yards and a pair of scores, while QB Nelson Peterson tossed three touchdown passes to lead an explosive Forney attack. The big concern for Forney going forward will be on the defensive side of the ball where they allowed over 500 yards of offense to Lake Highlands. Look for a renewed defensive emphasis this week against an equally dangerous A&M Consolidated bunch. This will be a close one just like last year, but the edge goes to Forney at home.
