Highland Park 2023 QB Brennan Storer (5'11, 190) committed to play for Western Michigan but backed off his pledge to explore new options once head coach Tim Lester was terminated.

"I just felt that it made sense to decommit given some of the schools that reached out, so I could freely consider all options," Storer explained.

Storer committed to WMU over offers from Akron, Cal, Kansas, Kent State and Texas State.

But he recently picked up a new offer from Miami (Ohio) and has made quick plans to take an official visit.

"Miami (Ohio) offered, and I'm going up there tomorrow on an official visit," Storer confirmed. "I'm also talking with some other schools about visits as well."

"(I'm) looking forward to going up there tomorrow."

Storer had a monster senior season, passing 3,092 yards and 34 touchdowns. Additionally, he rushed for over 500 yards and eight scores.

Definitely wish we were still playing, but overall, I thought I took advantage of opportunities to help my team and showcase my abilities," Storer said.

"I'm really gonna miss my teammates and coaches but looking forward to my next chapter - whatever that may be - just putting that in God's hands."

Storer is rated as the No. 7 QB in the DCTF Hot 100.
