UTSA coach Jeff Traylor said two days ago, "We do have people already tampering with our kids," when discussing the transfer portal. The Roadrunners received their first blow to the roster Tuesday morning.

Redshirt sophomore linebacker and AAC Defensive Player of the Year Trey Moore announced Tuesday his intentions to enter the transfer portal. Moore led the FBS with 14 sacks and was sixth nationally with 17.5 tackles for loss. The 6-foot-3-inch, 235-pound outside backer will be one of the most sought after players in the transfer portal.

A hallmark of Traylor's four-year tenure at UTSA has been keeping talent on the roster year over year, but the last two offseasons have brought major defections. Back-to-back 1,000-yard receiver Zakhari Franklin left for Ole Miss last June, and now Moore figures to make the same jump to the Power Five.
