Rogers (7-3) vs. Van Vleck (4-6)
7 p.m. Friday at Leopard Stadium in La Grange
The Texas high school football playoffs are here, with 352 win-or-go home games scattered across the state, and La Grange may be home to one of the most enticing as Rogers meets Van Vleck. Rogers shook off a slow start (2-3 in non-district play) to romp through District 13-3A DII on the strength of their Pistol Flexbone rushing attack anchored by Bryce Watson, Abraham Hernandez and Cooper Sisneroz. Van Vleck finished fourth in District 14, but don't be fooled — they survived a brutal district slate to get here, and their Wing-T rushing attack with Corey Austin and Brett Noster will be formidable. Which team can shore up their fronts better in what may be a rainy evening in La Grange?
