Lancaster four-star cornerback Corian Gipson (6'1, 175) has committed to Clemson over offers from TCU, Texas, Alabama and Ohio State.
Dabo Swinney and the Tigers made up a lot of ground quickly in the race for Gipson's commitment, as they offered on March 27th (2023) and then played host to him on an essential unofficial visit that helped set the table for things to come.
Gipson was impressed by the stability of the coaching staff and culture that Swinney has created there.
"Clemson is family-oriented," Gipson said. "The atmosphere is great. The vibe is good. The coaching staff is stable. They have been there for 17 years, the DB coach has been there for 11 (Mike Reed). They take it serious."
Gipson is rated as the No. 2 CB prospect in the 2024 DCTF Hot 100, checking in at No. 13 overall.
