Brookshire Royal 2024 DL Zechariah Robinson (6'2, 265) committed to UTSA over offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Louisiana Tech, Maryland, North Texas, Oregon State, Texas State, Tulane and Washington State.
This is a significant recruiting win for UTSA, who beat out multiple P5-level programs to get the athletic and disruptive Robinson.
"He's very disruptive," Brookshire Royal head coach Theadis Reagins backed. "He had a lot of tackles for losses last year. He has tremendous upside. He hasn't played that position long. He's a student of the game. He has a good motor. He's going to be able to get to the ball."
UTSA Associate Head Coach/Pass Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers Coach Joe Price is credited with developing a close relationship with Robinson early on his recruitment.
Fun TXHSFB Fact: Price and Reagins coached together at North Shore.
Robinson's older brother, DT Jeremiah Robinson, signed with UIW in the Class of 2023.
Robinson racked up 44 tackles, 15 TFLs and eight sacks to earn second-team all-district honors as a junior in 2022.
