ESPN College Gameday is converging on Austin for the second time in the 2022 season on Saturday when the crew previews TCU at Texas. The Horned Frogs are 8-0 and ranked seventh in the College Football Playoff Top 25 on the initial rankings. A win over Texas Tech coupled with a losses by Tennessee and Alabama should propel TCU towards one of the top four spots. Texas is in a tie for second in the Big 12 after a road win over Kansas State in Week 10.

Sonny Dykes was a contender for the Texas job when Tom Herman was fired, and his father, Spike, spent a few years as an assistant coach in Austin when Sonny was young. This is a big game for both programs and a good opportunity for the Big 12 to steal some national spotlight. Gameday was on the 40 Acres for Texas' one-point loss to Alabama in Week 2.
