UTEP kicker Gavin Baechle named C-USA special teams player of the week

UTEP kicker Gavin Baechle was named C-USA special teams player of the week for the third time this season after his performance in UTEP’s 24-21 victory over Florida Atlantic this past weekend. Baechle went 3-3 on field goals including a game-winning 27 yarder as time expired. Baechle is 15-16 for the season making his last 15 attempts. Baechle leads C-USA with 15 made field goals and field goals made per game (1.9) and is tied for second nationally in field goals made.  

UTEP’s next game is this coming Saturday in El Paso against Middle Tennessee at 8:00 pm (CT).
