North Texas linebacker KD Davis named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week

North Texas Mean Green LB KD Davis has been named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for his effort as the Mean Green defeated Louisiana Tech (2-4, 1-1) 47-27. Davis was everywhere on the field racking up a career-high 19 tackles including 11 solo tackles, leading North Texas to a 3-0 mark in conference play. Davis leads C-USA in tackles with 72 total tackles including 49 solo tackles.

The win against LA Tech puts the Mean Green in a prime position atop the C-USA rankings. Davis and the North Texas defense will look to contain a firey offense when they travel to San Antonio to face off against the UTSA Roadrunners (5-2, 3-0) on Oct. 22. Senior quarterback Frank harris leads the Roadrunners' 2nd-ranked scoring offense in C-USA. LA Tech will travel back to Ruston, LA to host the Rice Owls (3-3, 1-1) on Oct. 22.
