UTEP place kicker Gavin Baechle was named Conference USA special teams player of the week after going two for two in field goals, including a 46 yarder, and two for two in extra points in The Miners victory over New Mexico State this past weekend. Baechle leads CUSA in made field goal attempts with six through three games including a 54 yarder against Oklahoma. Baechle has only missed one kick all season including extra points.
UTEP will play at New Mexico next Saturday at 7:00pm (CT).
