College Station vs Hutto at The Pfield:
With construction delays at Hutto’s stadium, the Hippos' opener is being moved to nearby Pflugerville, and the game is a nice Thursday night treat for Austin-area fans.
College Station comes to town highly rated and as an outside contender in a loaded 5A-Division I Region II led by three-year starter at QB Jett Huff.
The Cougars have weapons galore with RB’s Marquise Collins and Nate Palmer along with WR’s Traylen Suel and Dalton Carnes and TE Houston Thomas.
The defense is expected to be improved as well returning six starters led by all-state LB Jaxon Slanker.
Hutto had some up’s and down’s in their first season as a 6A program, but the Hippos will be solid led by QB Grayson Doggett, a three-year starter leading the way along with a veteran defense that has good team speed.
Expect a lot of points in this one, but this is a College Station squad we really like and one that we feel will do some real damage heading into the playoffs.
