Two of the most talented teams in the Houston area hook up in a game that’ll have the recruiting guys keeping major tabs on this one.
North Shore lost an array of offensive talent, but the Mustangs bring back a ferocious defense that should be among the best in the state. Five-star DB Denver Harris is the headliner, but a deep defensive line led by Texas commit Kristopher Ross, Tai Leonard and Jacoby Brass will be enough to give opposing offensive lines nightmares.
The offense has a pair of dynamic WR’s in Jhalyn Bailey and David Amador, but the be who replaces four-year starter Dematrious Davis who is now at Auburn?
Shadow Creek doesn’t have QB questions as junior QB Duke Butler, who started a couple of games as a sophomore and impressed is ready to lead the Sharks offense. WR Lawrence Armstrong and RB Kelvon Brown lead a solid cast of skill players. Expect a low scoring game between two outstanding defensive units, but North Shore’s ability to control things in the trenches will wear Shadow Creek down in the second half.
