Want to get into the Big 12 Championship game? It’s going to cost you.
The matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners at 11 a.m. on Saturday at AT&T Stadium is officially sold out, according to the Big 12 conference.
Getting in the door isn’t easy. Standing room tickets are going for $57, per Ticket City. The cheapest seats available cost $94 each. Getting into the lower bowl will cost several hundred dollars.
Texas football is back in the Big 12 championship game for the first time since 2009. The Longhorns completed the regular season with a 9-3 record, and beat Kansas 24-17 in the last week of the regular season to clinch a spot in the game.
The Longhorns will face off against the Oklahoma Sooners once again, and will try to beat the team from up north for a second time this season.
In the last matchup, Texas beat Oklahoma 48-45 in the Red River Showdown at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. This game will take place about 30 miles up the road, but should once again feature an exciting and raucous split crowd.
The stakes are high for both teams. Oklahoma can potentially earn a trip to the College Football Playoff with a win. However, the Longhorns are fighting for a trip to the Sugar Bowl – and to prevent the Sooners from earning a fourth straight Big 12 championship.
This is the first time since 1903 that Texas and Oklahoma are playing multiple times in one season.
The 2018 Big 12 Championship game will take place at 11 a.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The game will be broadcast live on ABC.
