South Oak Cliff 2027 OL Brian Swanson (6'5, 300) and 2026 OT Cortavius Tisaby (6'6, 250) both had excellent games up front, clearing lanes for Offensive MVP RB Mikail Trotter. Swanson is strongly considering schools such as Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma. Tisaby signed with Arizona State.

“It feels good,” Swanson said. “We did this for the older guys and for the year we lost before that. It felt great to play as a team and win.”

“They hadn’t played anybody like us, so we just came out and did our job — played as a team, communicated, and came out with the dub.”

Note: A college program looking for a late add at running back should take a close look at Mikail Trotter, who played well against top competition, including North Shore, Longview and Randle.

2027 RB Landen Williams-Callis (5'8, 190) set a UIL record with a 101-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and rushed for 124 yards and a score. He accounted for Randle’s only two touchdowns in the contest. Williams-Callis capped his senior season with 3,494 rushing yards and 59 touchdowns.

Duncanville 2026 DE KJ Ford (6'3, 245) controlled the line of scrimmage for the Panthers and showed why he is considered one of the top players in the country. Ford, who signed with Florida, set the tone early with a sack and consistently demonstrated the strength to dominate at the point of attack.

2027 RB Sarod Baker (5'10, 195) capped off a strong playoff run with another solid performance in the 6A Division II state championship game, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns in DeSoto’s 55-27 win over C.E. King. Baker is a patient runner who sets up his blocks well, then accelerates quickly when he sees daylight, showing the balance and power to run through arm tackles.

2026 DeSoto WR Ethan Feaster (6'2, 185) capped off a remarkable career and, despite reclassifying, finished as the Eagles’ all-time leading receiver. He also holds the single-season school records for receiving yards and receptions. Feaster, who was named the Offensive MVP after collecting 167 yards and two scores, will play his college football at USC.

2026 North Shore DT Za’Qwaun Nunn (6'1, 265) delivered a strong performance up front for the Mustangs, finishing with eight tackles, two sacks and two tackles for loss. The state champion wrestler is strong at the point of attack and plays with excellent leverage, fighting through a double team late in the game to make one of the day’s biggest defensive plays.

The TXHSFB world should get familiar with C.E. King 2028 ATH Dillon Mitchell (5'8, 155), if it hasn’t already. Mitchell owns verified 10.37 speed, and that elite speed consistently shows up in pads. He is the fastest player I have personally seen on the field since Jakeem Grant in 2011. Mitchell holds 20 offers, including Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Florida and Georgia.
