Cypress Ranch RB Khristian White (5'10, 190) has emerged as one of the top in-state targets in the 2028 class, drawing early offers from Texas, Texas Tech, UTSA and Nebraska.
When asked about his current offers, White highlighted what makes each P4 program a contender for his commitment:
- Texas Tech: “They just won the Big 12 Championship. That’s a really strong program, and they’ve got a history of developing running backs, so it really caught my attention.”
- Texas: “Unfortunately, they didn’t make the playoffs this year, but they’re still a really good school and program. I’d love the opportunity to play there.”
- Nebraska: “I haven’t been there yet, but it’s an amazing program with a lot of history. Just the chance to be a part of that tradition is exciting.”
Beyond his current offers, White is keeping an eye on other national programs like Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Clemson.
White credits Marshawn Lynch as a major influence on his game. “He never seemed to go down. He always found a way to keep going,” White said.
White is a versatile back who prides himself on being a team-first player. “I like being a role player,” he said. “With speed, agility, running up the middle—basically whatever the coach asks me to do, I just go do it.”
As a sophomore, he racked up 388 yards and eight touchdowns, helping the Mustangs to a 10-3 finish and a bi-district championship.
“I love it here,” White said of Cy-Ranch. “The coaching staff is phenomenal. They give me a lot of opportunities, help get my tape out there, and make sure I’m seen by different coaches. There’s no other place I’d rather play.”
