DAVE CAMPBELL’S TEXAS FOOTBALL AND WHATABURGER TEAM UP TO UNVEIL THE 2023 WHATABURGER SUPER TEAM BALLOT

DALLAS – Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Whataburger are proud to honor the best and brightest stars in Texas high school football with the announcement of the 300-player ballot for the 2023 Whataburger Super Team. Texas high school football fans nominated more than 4,000 players on TexasFootball.com, and now must narrow the field from 300 players to the 40 honorees.

Fans can now vote for which players they believe deserve a spot on the 2023 Whataburger Super Team by voting at TexasFootball.com/WhatASuperTeam.

Headliners of the 2022 Whataburger Super Team include Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. (Denton Ryan), Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold (Denton Guyer), Texas A&M defensive linemen David Hicks Jr. (Katy Paetow), Texas wide receiver Johntay Cook II (DeSoto) and Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens (El Campo).

“Some Texas traditions go hand in hand, like high school football and a Whataburger #1 with cheese,” said Donna Tuttle, Whataburger Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “This is our sixth year to sponsor the Super Team and honor talented young athletes with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. We’ll be cheering them on with fellow fans!”

Former Super Team winners include Andrew Luck (Stratford HS, Indianapolis Colts), Kyler Murray (Allen HS, Arizona Cardinals), Garrett Wilson (Lake Travis HS, New York Jets), Marvin Mims (Frisco Lone Star HS, Denver Broncos), Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Rockwall HS, Seattle Seahawks), Jamal Adams (Hebron HS, Seattle Seahawks), Caden Sterns (Cibolo Steele HS, Denver Broncos), and DeMarvin Leal (Converse Judson HS, Pittsburg Steelers).
