San Antonio Jay (5-0, 3-0) vs San Antonio Sotomayor (4-0, 2-0): Surprising San Antonio Jay is taking the Alamo City by storm in 2023 and the Mustangs will look to keep the momentum going as they tangle with fellow unbeaten San Antonio Sotomayor in a key 29-6A showdown.

Jay had some struggles last week against a Stevens squad that is a little down, but the Mustangs escaped with a 21-14 win. QB Jackson Gutierrez had a touchdown pass, but the Jay offense managed just 200 yards on the night.

Sotomayor had an easy time with San Antonio Holmes last Thursday as the Panthers cruised to a 39-7 win. SHS accounted for 477 yards of offense and the defense got in on the act with a fumble return for a score as well.

QB Logan Plake threw for 121 yards and a score and added 73 yards on the ground and a score, while RB Jayden Gutierrez ran for 163 yards and a score and added 54 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Sotomayor is a bona-fide playoff contender in just its second varsity season, but Jay will bounce back and get a huge win to solidify its chances at staying in the district title chase.
