Prospect on the Rise
Comanche 2024 CB Kyler Beaty (6'1, 185) picked up an official offer from Baylor on Aug. 1 and committed Aug. 5.
Beaty is described as a "difference maker" by Comanche head coach Jake Escobar.
Beaty had 27 catches for 540 yards and eight touchdowns, collected 53 tackles, three interceptions and 10 PBUs to earn first-team all-district honors as a junior in 2022.
Commit of the Week
2024 Humble Atascocita WR Jelani Watkins (5'9, 160) committed to LSU.
Watkins is rated as the No. 4 WR and the No. 28 prospect overall in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100.
Scouting Report: Watkins stands out for his remarkable 100-meter speed clocking in at 10.33, which pops on tape. He transforms screens and quick passes into dynamic, high-impact plays. He can kick it into top gear effortlessly and possesses an innate talent for evading defenders while maintaining his top-end speed. Watkins is also blessed with sticky hands.
Underclassman of the Week
Houston Legacy 2025 OL Joshua Moses (6'4, 320) became the first commitment for Texas A&M in the Class of 2025, selecting the Aggies over offers from Houston, TCU, Arkansas, Oklahoma and more.
Scouting Report: Joshua Moses is entering his junior season, but already has three years of varsity film playing left tackle, as eighth graders can play up in this league. While he has plenty of experience setting the edge, he projects as an interior lineman at the next level. He is strong at the point of contact, sending defensive linemen flying with a strong punch. He finishes blocks with aggression.

Duncanville 2024 DE Colin Simmons and 2024 RB Caden Durham announced theiir commitments on Thursday.
Simmons chose Texas over LSU and Miami (FL).
Durham committed to LSU over Texas A&M and Oklahoma.
