Prospect on the Rise

Back at the end of June, Mesquite Horn 2024 WR Cedric Lott Jr. (6'5, 200) committed to Boston College over offers from programs like North Texas, Texas State and UTSA.

Lott has an interesting recruiting story because he has not played a varsity snap.

That being said, sources within the Mesquite Horn program indicated that he has been developing at a rapid pace on and off the field and that they would put him up against some of the top receivers in this class.

His size and vertical ability as a former basketball player make him unique, so don't be surprised to see him shoot up rankings lists throughout the 2023 season.

Commit of the Week

The state's fastest man, Refugio 2024 WR Ernest Campbell (5'8, 150) committed to Texas A&M over Baylor, TCU, Florida State, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State and more.

Campbell posted a blistering 10.22 2A 100-meter dash, the fastest time in the state, regardless of classification at the UIL State Track Championships. He took gold with a 20.92 200-meter time, the second fastest in the state regardless of classification, and helped Refugio capture gold in the 4x100.

Underclassman of the Week

Jasper TE Kiotti Armstrong (6'5, 245) committed is the newest DCTF four-star prospect in the Class of 2025.

Armstrong was among the most impressive prospects at the Texas State 7-on-7 in College Station at the end of June.

The new four-star has picked up 15 scholarship offers featuring Baylor, Houston, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UTSA and more.

Recruit of the Week

Duncanville 2024 RB Caden Durham (5'9, 180) was selected to play in the 2024 Polynesian Bowl.

Durham is set to announce his commitment on August 25. Schools like Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas A&M are in the hunt.

As a junior, Durham rushed for 1,960 yards and 36 touchdowns, winning Offensive MVP honors following Duncanville's 6A Division I state title win.
