It’s a battle of unbeatens in suburban Houston as the district title in 8-5A Division I is on the line as state-ranked College Station takes on Magnolia West.

College Station has absolutely dominated in district play with their closest game being a 38-10 opening win over Magnolia High. In fact, the Cougars have won their last three games by at least 70 – yes, SEVENTY points. Absolute destruction from Steve Huff’s squad.

Magnolia West is unbeaten, but they’ve had to fight in a wins over Magnolia and last week over New Caney as the Mustangs pulled out a 31-24 win. RB Hunter Bilbo ran for two touchdowns as MWHS ran out to a 24-14 halftime lead and let their outstanding defense do the rest in the second half.

The Mustangs will need an even better effort on defense week to slow down one of the state’s top offensive units.

Stepp’s Pick: College Station by 17
