UNT football is set to honor "Mean" Joe Greene, the best player in the history of the program, with a statue on Saturday before the matchup with Louisiana Tech. The tributes won't stop there.

The Mean Green announced that the program will wear special 1967 throwback uniforms and helmets in celebration of Greene. Defensive end LaDarius Hamilton will also wearing Greene's iconic No. 75. To announce it, they dropped one of the best videos in recent memory.

The video is, of course, a reference to Greene's famous Coca-Cola commercial with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's largely considered one of the best Super Bowl commercials of all time.

Hamilton will have a big responsibility by wearing the jersey. He has nine tackles, three tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks through four games. However, he will have to put forth a Greene-ish game against Louisiana Tech in tribute.

Greene is one of the most decorated players in the history of football. He's a 10-time Pro Bowler, four-time Super Bowl champion, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, NFL 1970s All-Decade Team, 1968 consensus All-American and member of the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame. His No. 75 is retired by North Texas.
