Willis 2026 ATH Jermaine Bishop (5'11, 155) has been elevated to DCTX five-star status, cementing his spot among the top five players in Texas in 2026.

The Texas Longhorns commit is one of the most dynamic prospects in the country, with the ability to dominate in all three phases of the game. Often compared to Travis Hunter, Bishop has shown the rare versatility to change a game as a wide receiver, defensive back and return specialist.

Bishop’s production speaks for itself. Last week, he rushed for 301 yards and four touchdowns, added a passing TD and a receiving TD, contributed on defense with five tackles and a pass breakup, and even punted the ball nearly 50 yards. Doing that in Texas 6A football underscores his five-star athleticism and pure football instincts.

For Texas fans, his versatility raises an intriguing question: will he start his career in Austin as a defensive back, an offensive weapon, or as an all-purpose return threat? No matter the role, Bishop’s game-breaking talent makes him a prospect who can contribute as a true freshman.

Bishop is rated as the No. 3 prospect in the 2026 DCTX Rising Hot 100 and was selected as a member of the Preseason DCTX Whataburger Super Team and was named the Preseason Defensive MVP.
