Offensive MVP: Jailen Vasquez, Spearman QB
Vasquez embodies Spearman's IYW 'Impose Your Will' team motto. He threw for nearly 1,300 yards, rushed for over 1,000 yards, scored 21 total touchdowns, and even added 90 tackles with six pass breakups on defense.
Defensive MVP: Luis Sosa, Amarillo Highland Park DL
Sosa headlines eight returning starters for an Amarillo Highland Park team that made the playoffs last year.
2-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Brady Azam, Olton QB
Azam (6-foot-4, 190) threw for over 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns and should benefit from a speedy group of skill kids.
Defensive MVP: Aiden Shaver, Hale Center LB
Shaver was the District Co-Defensive MVP last year with 112 tackles, leading Hale Center to an undefeated district championship.
3-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Landyn Garcia, Post QB
Garcia is a four-year starter who was injured in Week 1 of last season. With a 15-4 career record, look for the signal-caller to make up for lost time.
Defensive MVP: Lincoln Preston, New Home DB
Preston headlines a strong group of skill players returning from a 10-3 New Home team. He had 1,023 all-purpose yards on offense, along with 78 tackles and a defensive touchdown.
4-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Aaron Segura, Sonora QB
Segura leads a Sonora team with district championship hopes after throwing for 1,766 yards and 18 touchdowns a year ago.
Defensive MVP: Kaleb Ramon, Ozona DB
Ramon the captain of Ozona's defense. He had 84 tackles, three pass breakups, and an interception from the free safety spot last year.
5-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Camden Ables, Hawley TE
Ables, a Tarleton commit, is an imposing 6-foot-4, 235-pound pass catcher who had 45 receptions for 792 yards and 12 touchdowns a year ago.
Defensive MVP: Garrett Offutt, Cisco DE
Offutt leads eight returning starters on defense from a Cisco team that went 12-2 last year. He had 88 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, six sacks, and six forced fumbles.

Offensive MVP: Maverick Bayer, Muenster WR
Bayer will be the top option for new quarterback Carter Heller after recording 32 catches for 585 yards and nine touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Brady Klement, Muenster LB
Klement had 65 tackles as Muenster repeated in the Class 2A Division II State Championship.
7-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Slade Buell, Mason ATH
Buell was the District Overall MVP and a member of the THSCA Super Elite Team after compiling over 1,400 all-purpose yards and 87 tackles (11 tackles for loss).
Defensive MVP: Carson Metcalf, Johnson City DT
Metcalf was a First Team All-District and All-State offensive lineman, but coach Brent Kornegay says he'll be a dominant force on both sides of the ball.
8-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Levi Leathers, Axtell QB
Leathers, an Arkansas baseball commit, flashes that arm strength from the diamond on the gridiron. He had 2,284 passing yards, 538 rushing yards, and 41 total touchdowns.
Defensive MVP:Bryson Bell, Valley Mills DB
Bell is described by coach Robert Featherston as a, 'very explosive player with great intelligence and leadership skills.' He had 63 tackles and three interceptions on defense.
9-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Noah Adams, Wolfe City QB
Adams has eye-popping 6-foot-8, 235-pound size, but his intelligence is the biggest takeaway from his game. He had over 2,400 yards and 30 passing touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Jace Meeks, Cooper LB
Meeks was a Second Team All-District running back selection last fall, but he's also a dominant force on the defensive side.
10-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Antonio Ibarra, Price Carlisle QB
Entering year two as the starter, coach Clay Baker says Ibarra is blossoming into a leader. His play does all the talking necessary (1,746 passing yards and 12 touchdowns, 1,090 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns).
Defensive MVP: BB Roberts, Cayuga LB
Roberts fires off the ball like a BB gun, racking up 93 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and two sacks.
11-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Montez Thompson, Waskom RB
Thompson will be the workhorse of Waskom's offense after rushing for 844 yards on just 58 carries last fall.
Defensive MVP: Wooda Betts, Paul Pewitt DL
Betts is an RB/DL star – this is why 2A football is the best, by the way – who had 19 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and four forced fumbles.
12-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Cooper Bragg, Joaquin RB
Arguably the fastest player in Class 2A, Bragg used all that speed to race into the state championship game with 2,023 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: D'Adrian Renfro, San Augustine LB
Renfro (6-foot-2, 195) will play all over the field on both sides of the ball, but his main position on defense will be safety. He racked up 88 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and two interceptions.
13-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Pryce Rabroker, Rosebudd-Lott QB
Rabroker is a four-year starter who earned District Overall MVP last fall after posting over 2,400 total yards and 33 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Kale Meadors, Thorndale LB
Meadors (6-foot, 205) was the District Defensive MVP last fall with 88 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and two sacks.
14-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Derrick Reagie, Corrigan-Camden RB
Coach Brett Ratliff calls Reagie the best DI prospect Corrigan-Camden has had in a long time. The two-time all-state selection had nearly 1,800 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Cooper Wilson, Centerville LB
Wilson looks to lead Centerville to their seventh district championship in the last nine years after posting 81 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and three sacks a season ago.
15-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Quincy Jones, Shiner RB
Jones was the headliner of Shiner's run to the state championship last year with over 1,700 total yards and 28 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Logan Bures, Ganado LB
Bures, the Preseason Class 2A Defensive Player of the Year, has been a star on Ganado's team since they won the first state championship in program history in 2024.
16-2A DI
Offensive MVP: Matthew Perez, Refugio QB
Perez will be one of the only familiar faces on a new-look Refugio team that returns just three total starters. He was a stud safety last year, but also had 800 passing yards and eight touchdowns to zero interceptions in limited action.
Defensive MVP: Joziah Ramirez, Dilley DL
Ramirez has been Dilley's top linemen the last two years, but an injury in Week 2 cut his season short last year. Now, the senior is back with a vengeance.
1-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Darius Jones, Stratford WR
Jones had 46 receptions for 1,110 yards and 16 touchdowns a season ago and will be the top target for whoever replaces Chase Lantelme at quarterback.
Defensive MVP: Bo Cowan, Gruver LB
Cowan (6-foot-1, 180) emerged as one of the state's top linebackers as a sophomore with 27 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.
2-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Chase Lantelme, Ropes QB
Lantelme was an All-State quarterback at Stratford last season with 2,325 yards and 32 touchdowns passing, along with 400 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
Defensive MVP: Zayden Pittman, Ropes ATH
Pittman was the unanimous overall District MVP last fall with 26 touchdowns on offense and six interceptions on defense.
3-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Uzziah Martinez, Tahoka RB
Martinez had over 1,000 rushing yards in a breakout sophomore year and is a leader on a young Tahoka team that returns only ten lettermen.
Defensive MVP: Mason Alford, Roscoe DB
Alford (6-foot-2, 175) is a skill position star on one of the bigger teams in Class 2A.
4-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Layne Lusby, Wink QB
Lusby is described by coach Brian Gibson as a natural leader for the entire team. He is looking to make up for lost time after an injury sidelined him for most of last year.
Defensive MVP: Danny Reyes, Iraan LB
Reyes is a physical defensive presence who racked up 130 tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, and an interception a year ago.
5-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Callen Kane, Wellington QB
Kane led Wellington to a 9-3 record with nearly 2,300 passing yards and 30 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Diego Soto, Wheeler LB
Soto (6-foot-1, 205) led Wheeler to its first district title in nearly two decades with 91 tackles and 19 tackles for loss.
6-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Brock Belcher, Windthorst QB
Belcher, the Class 2A Coverboy in Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine, threw for nearly 3,500 yards and 55 touchdowns to go with 850 yards and ten scores on the ground.
Defensive MVP: Beaux Shaginaw, Haskell LB
Shaginaw posted an otherworldly statline with 167 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and three sacks.
7-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Clay Chapman, Albany QB
Chapman threw for nearly 1,600 yards and 15 touchdowns in ten starts last fall. He looks to lead Albany on yet another deep playoff run.
Defensive MVP: Hagen Greenway, Goldthwaite LB
Greenway (6-foot, 210), the nephew of head coach Andy Howard, is a sideline-to-sideline defender who had 130 tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.
8-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Jackeson McKinnerney, Santo RB
McKinnerney (5-foot-10, 205) displays excellent vision on the field, rushing for 764 yards and 15 touchdowns last fall.
Defensive MVP: Cooper Dennard, Crawford LB
Dennard was the District's Offensive MVP last year, but he's a terror from the linebacker spot as well.
9-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Paxton Davidson, Collinsville QB
Davidson (6-foot-1, 195) is described by coach Garrett Patterson as a big-time competitor who threw for over 2,700 yards and 36 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Casen Williford, Lindsay LB
Williford should get around 15 carries a game this year after posting 726 rushing yards and nine scores, but he's also a fearsome linebacker.
10-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Ryker Bailey, Maud QB
Bailey was the District Co-MVP in 2025 with 29 total touchdowns and over 1,00 rushing yards.
Defensive MVP: Nate Potter, Simms Bowie LB
Potter is the focal point of Simms Bowie's district championship hopes after earning First Team All-District honors.
11-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Justin Weir, Overton RB/WR
Weir is a four-year returning starter on defense, but he's also the district's most versatile offensive weapon.
Defensive MVP: Diego Fajardo, Grapeland LB
Fajardo is a four-year starter who'll play running back and linebacker once again for head coach Jordan Wood, who describes Fajardo as a great football player.
12-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Kade Myrann, West Sabine RB
Myrann was the District's Defensive MVP with 81 tackles last fall, but expect him to put up big offensive numbers after rushing for 708 yards and eight touchdowns.
Defensive MVP:Heath Picou, Deweyville DE
Picou leads a Deweyville team full of young players who've gained valuable varsity experience as freshmen and sophomores.
13-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Sam Kasowski, Bremond QB
Kasowski, the son of Bremond head coach Jeff Kasowski, was a TSWA All-State honorable mention selection with nearly 2,500 passing yards and 31 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Marneko Thomas Jr., Chilton DB
Thomas (6-foot-3, 195) is a physical specimen in the secondary who over 2,300 total yards at quarterback.
14-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Jack Lewis, Brackettville QB
Coach Kody Yeager describes Lewis as a field general with excellent arm strength, accuracy, and pocket presence. He had nearly 1,400 passing yards and 18 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Koda Bierschwale, Junction LB
Bierschwale will be the featured running back on offense, but he also 90 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and four interceptions at linebacker.
15-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Ethan Conn, Three Rivers WR
Conn is described by coach Jesse Garcia as explosive on offense, a ballhawk on defense, and extremely fast on both. He had 52 catches for 1,162 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Defensive MVP: Noah Riojas, Falls City LB
Riojas will be the focal point of new head coach Will Kirchoff's defense as he takes over for his legendary father.
16-2A DII
Offensive MVP: Andrew Gonzalez, La Villa RB
Gonzalez is a four-year starter who rushed for over 1,400 yards and 27 touchdowns. This will be the second year he starts on both offense and defense.
Defensive MVP: Andre De La Rosa, Santa Maria LB
After five straight playoff appearances in Class 5A DI, Santa Maria is excited about their prospects in Division II – as well as stud linebacker De La Rosa (79 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2 sacks).
