6A: Tyrone Green, Alvin Shadow Creek
The Sharks knocked off No. 5 Humble Summer Creek 24-14 in one of the week's top 6A matchups.
5A: David Jackson, Fort Bend Crawford
The Chargers punched up a classification to route No. 8 La Porte 51-24, as four-star WR Alvin Mosley racked up over 200 yards.
4A: David McHugh, Corpus Christi Miller
The 46-41 win over 5A DI's Corpus Christi Flour Bluff was a statement maker for McHugh and the Buccaneers.
3A: Dale West, Bells
Bells passed an early test with a 27-21 upset of Pottsboro, raising expectations for what the Panthers can accomplish in 2026.
2A: Devon Mann, Santo
The Wildcats rose to the occasion, grinding out a 22-13 win over a physical Chilton squad in the season opener.
1A: Chris Spalek, Buena Vista
In his head coaching debut, Spalek’s Longhorns held their nerve in a 42-39 win over Irion County.
PVT: Bob Rosenstiel, Austin St. Michael’s
In his first year at the helm, Rosenstiel has the Crusaders off to a 2-0 start after a heart-stopping 21-20 upset win over Dallas Covenant.

6A: Red Behrens, Sachse
The Mustangs are off to a 2-0 start, with the offense humming at nearly 50 points per game after rolling past Plano 45-3.
5A: Jacody Coleman, Mansfield Timberview
Coleman and the Wolves pulled off a tough 35-30 road win over Denton Ryan, making a statement that this program is taking the next steps.
4A: Kevin Brown, Robinson
The Rockets outlasted Springtown 38-35 to even their record at 1-1 and continue to test themselves against an ambitious non-district slate. Lorena is up next.
3A: Aaron Bobino, Cameron Yoe
The Yoemen walked out of Whitney with a thrilling 62-61 victory in what was one of the best games of the week, regardless of classification.
2A: Wade Griffin, Mason
The Punchers punched up a classification and pulled off a 46-44 win over Hamilton, which won the 2A Division I state title last season before moving up to 3A Division II in 2026.
1A: Trey Sisco, Water Valley
In his second season the helm of the Wildcats, Sisco is making his mark, knocking off top-ranked Rankin 93-90 and avenging last year’s state semifinal loss to the Red Devils.
PVT: Jay Silvers, Marble Falls Faith
After a hard-luck start to the season, Silvers’ Flames roared back in a big way, edging past state-ranked San Marcos Hill Country 51-50 in a major upset.
