DI All-State 7-on-7 Team

These are the DCTX picks for the best Division I performances in the Texas 7-on-7 State Tournament.

Check out Division II/III HERE.

Overall MVP: Isaiah Taylor (Keller Central, 2028)
Taylor was the MVP of the title game and is the newest DCTX four-star in the Class of 2028 following a standout performance at QB/S. On offense, he played under control and steadily picked defenses apart. On defense, he was quick and reactive from his safety spot, racking up SIX total interceptions throughout the tournament. His all-around performance on both sides of the ball will live on in State 7-on-7 history. He never left the field, and he never ran out of gas.

OFFENSE

QB: Ty Snell (Allen, 2029)
Snell and the Eagles had the offense hitting on all cylinders. It seems like they scored almost every time they touched the ball and rolled through a gauntlet of top teams along the way. The future is bright in Allen, and Snell is a big reason why.

QB Kaden Copelin (The Woodlands, 2028)
The tournament featured so many strong quarterback performances that multiple selections were warranted. Copelin turned in one of the top overall performances regardless of position and led The Woodlands to the semifinals before falling to Allen. He is quick, decisive and extremely accurate. He processes quickly and gets the ball out in a hurry. Syracuse was his first offer, but he could be in line for a big breakout on the recruiting trail.

WR: Zach Williams (Allen, 2029)
Williams was virtually unguardable. His quickness created huge separation, and he often operated in space that is rare to see in this setting. He is also an outstanding athlete who consistently came down with difficult catches in traffic when called upon.

WR: Braylen Dixon (Keller Central, 2027)
One of the true breakout stars of the tournament, Dixon had everyone buzzing following a multi-touchdown performance in a semifinal win over Lake Travis. At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, he knows how to use his frame to his advantage.

WR: Henry Brooks (Cy-Fair, 2027)
Brooks created matchup problems with his 6-foot-3 frame and flexibility. The DCTX three-star already holds over a dozen offers, but has remained somewhat under the radar from a notoriety standpoint. After this performance, that may no longer be the case.

WR: Carter Cass (The Woodlands, 2028)
The Woodlands offense just keeps reloading year after year. This version featured 2028 QB Kaden Copelin connecting with Cass for touchdowns time and time again. Cass is shifty, electric and has strong hands. Offers have come in from Baylor, SFA, Syracuse and Colgate.

TE: Gage Prebenda-Wilson (Lake Travis, 2027)
Prebenda-Wilson gave his quarterback a reliable option in the passing attack throughout the tournament. His signature moment came in a last-second quarterfinal win over Cy-Fair when he beat multiple defenders to haul in the game-winning touchdown as time expired..

DEFENSE

LB: Cash Hines (Klein, 2029)
Klein came out of the gates swinging with a 3-0 start, and Hines quickly demanded everyone's attention. At 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, he is ultra-athletic and possesses an elite frame. It's no surprise that TCU, Texas A&M, SMU and Houston have already extended offers.

DB: Royce Bimage Jr. (Dickinson, 2028)
Dickinson had several players perform at a high level, but Bimage possesses the traits college coaches want on the perimeter. He has long arms, strength and the flexibility to stay with receivers down the field. Offers have come in from coast to coast for the younger brother of Arizona State defensive back Rodney Bimage.

DB: Dakendrick Jones (WF Legacy, 2027)
Colleges looking for a sleeper in the secondary should make a trip to Wichita Falls to check out Jones. He starred on both sides of the ball, but his impact was felt most in the secondary, where he seemed to be involved with every play.

DB: Jaden Bibbs (Coppell, 2027)
Bibbs played well throughout the tournament and had some big challenges, but played a very strong game against DeSoto where he often matched up with fellow DCTX Rising 100 member Dhillon McGee. The Utah commit is tenacious.

DB: Jacob Lee (Cypress Ranch, 2027)
The Mustangs are absolutely loaded with talent, but Rice is getting a steal in Lee. He is a smart defender who is extremely sticky in coverage. A multi-sport standout, Lee continues to develop his game and has established himself as one of the state's most dependable defensive backs.

ATH: Jeremiah Taylor (Keller Central, 2028)
Taylor was a weapon on both sides of the ball. At wide receiver, he was one of the top playmakers at the event and hauled in pass after pass. At cornerback, he shut down his side of the field. He projects as a national-level 'athlete' prospect, but his size (6'2) is an awfully nice bonus in the secondary.

ATH: Luca Antoun (Lake Travis, 2027)
The leader of Lake Travis excelled on both sides of the ball. The Cavaliers are looking to reload at multiple positions in 2026, but Antoun will be a steady force in the secondary, where his ability to read and react quickly allows him to consistently make plays.
