Smithson Valley (2118 enrollment) is pretty much in the middle of 5A Division I but missed the top-five cut. The Rangers will be looking for their third consecutive state title under legendary head coach Larry Hill. 

There were some big changes in 5A Division II: state finalist Richmond Randle has moved up to 5A DI, but the reigning state champ is South Oak Cliff (1601 enrollment), and they are back looking to add a fourth state title ring to head coach Jason Todd's collection.
