Four programs reached the coveted Thanksgiving-week stage and met Saturday at The Star in Frisco.

Willis 38, Forney 32 — Wildkats Ignite Behind Frazier & Bishop

The nightcap featured two of the best individual performances of the playoffs as Willis' 2029 QB Lincoln Frazier and DCTF five-star 2026 ATH Jermaine Bishop Jr. powered the Wildkats into the regional final for the first time in program history.

Frazier threw for 489 yards and four touchdowns, while Bishop accounted for 328 receiving yards and three scores, flashing the star power that has defined their postseason run.

The game struggled to find rhythm early. Willis managed only a 10-0 halftime lead, and Forney struck first out of the break with a 10-play, 53-yard drive capped by a 14-yard touchdown run from Notre Dame commit 2026 RB Javian Osborne. Osborne—who finished with 93 tough yards—cut the lead to 10-8 after a successful two-point conversion.

What followed was an offensive surge: a Willis rushing touchdown, a Forney field goal, and a Willis score through the air. That stretch lit the fuse for Frazier and Bishop.

The freshman QB ripped several high-level throws into tight windows while Bishop shredded tackles and flipped the game with his yards-after-catch ability. Both Willis touchdowns in that burst came from Bishop, including a 68-yard catch-and-run.

Willis opened the fourth quarter with a key defensive stop near midfield after sniffing out a Forney fake punt. The Wildkats capitalized immediately, as Bishop added a 26-yard touchdown to make it 31-11 with 10:26 left, another showcase of his speed and elusiveness.

Forney responded with a marathon 15-play drive ending in one of the game's wildest moments. Osborne and Bishop met in a heavy collision at the goal line, with Bishop knocking the ball loose, only for Osborne to recover it in the end zone for a crucial Jackrabbit touchdown.

Down 31-18 with 5:57 left, the game unraveled into a late scoring flurry. Bishop racked up yet another touchdown on a 40-yard reception with 5:10 remaining, before Forney answered with a scoring strike from 2026 QB Nelson Peterson to Texas Tech commit 2026 WR Imari Jehiel.

But the rally stopped there. Bishop sealed the win with an interception on a Hail Mary as time expired, capping one of the best playoff performances in recent memory.

The Texas commit finished with 389 total yards, four touchdowns, an interception, a forced fumble, and a touchdown-saving tackle, strengthening UT's belief that he can play both sides of the ball at the next level.

"This was an all-time performance from Bishop," DCTX Director of Recruiting Greg Powers said after the game. "You just don't see many guys who can take over a game on offense, defense, and special teams the way he does — especially in 6A. Texas is getting a special one. The real debate is going to be which side of the ball he plays in Austin. I list him as an athlete for a reason, but I can promise you the conversations in those UT meeting rooms are going to get heated."

Other standout performers included Houston 2026 commit TE Jaivion Martin, Maryland 2026 commit OL/DL Day'jon Moore, who set the tone in the trenches for Willis, and 2028 DB Jamal Lagway, the younger brother of DJ Lagway, who flashed elite one-on-one ability despite a slender frame.

Willis advances to face DeSoto next Saturday at 3 p.m. at Baylor's McLane Stadium.

Frisco Lone Star 47, West Mesquite 20 — Rangers Roll Early

The afternoon matchup between West Mesquite and Frisco Lone Star at the 5A Division I level was decided quickly. Lone Star exploded out to a 40-0 halftime lead, using complementary football to seize full control.

The connection between 2028 QB Trey Wright and 2026 WR Davian Groce produced touchdown strikes of 30 and 45 yards in the first quarter. Seconds into the second quarter, the Florida commit added a 64-yard touchdown run, finishing his efficient day with 149 total yards.

"The game was basically over before it started because of how well he played," DCTX Senior High School Writer Carter Yates said. "He put the game out of reach within a minute of the second quarter after going off for two streak touchdowns and a 60-yard touchdown run. The entire Lone Star sideline felt his swagger, and it gave them the confidence to break away."

Lone Star also leaned on short-yardage power from Baylor commit Karece Hoyt, who punched in two scores, and Wright showcased his dual-threat skill set with a 45-yard touchdown run of his own. Wright mirrors the modern mold of the Kyler Murray/Patrick Mahomes archetype—fluid mobility, off-platform accuracy, and veteran-level instincts.

West Mesquite battled back in the second half and never quit, but Lone Star's early burst was too much to overcome. The Rangers advanced with a 47-20 win.

Defensively, 2026 DL Chris Knauls Jr. (Michigan State commit) and Marcel Dominguez dominated up front, disrupting a West Mesquite offense led by 2027 RB Damarian Robinson, who has posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.

Frisco Lone Star is set to face a familiar foe in Highland Park next Friday at 7 p.m. at The Star in Frisco. The Rangers and Scots have met five times since 2018, with Highland Park holding a 3–2 edge.
