Excitement is building at UT Permian Basin after the program underwent its first change at head coach. Kris McCullough takes over the program and is regarded as one of the best young coaches in the country. McCullough brings a record of success to UTPB after leading ECU to a 9-3 record and a win over A&M-Kingsville in the RV Fun Town Heritage Bowl.
Many of McCullough’s players at ECU followed him to UTPB, including quarterback Kenny Hrncir. Hrncir is expected to compete with returning letterman Dylan Graham, who impressed the new coaching staff during spring practice. The battle for the starting position will be fierce, with McCullough believing that both guys can start for UTPB. The Falcons defense will feature four down linemen that will pair with a solid defensive backfield.
