Marc Bindel, HC Wichita Falls Memorial: Bindel’s an institution in Wichita Falls as he’s led a football program in that city since 2014; prior to that he was an assistant coach at Rider. From 2014 to 2023 Bindel led Wichita Falls Rider. He led the Raiders to a state semifinal appearance in 2018, three straight regional final appearances from 2019-2021 and two regional semifinal appearances in 2014 and 2023. In 2024, after consolidation, Bindel opened up Wichita Falls Memorial where he led the Mavericks to the area playoffs in 2024. He has a career record of 99-53 as a head coach.

Andrew Colvin, HC Royse City: Just down the road a little east on I-30 is current Royse City head coach Andrew Colvin. After taking over a young Bulldogs team in 2024 that went 2-8, Colvin’s Bulldogs improved to 5-5 a year ago. He could be following the path of former Royse City HC Rodney Webb, who eventually made his way to Rockwall-Heath. Colvin has ties to Rockwall as he spent three seasons as the Rockwall High offensive coordinator.

Marcus Gold, HC Wylie East: If Rockwall ISD wants to go the route of the young and energetic coach with success, Marcus Gold fits the bill. Gold doesn’t lack for experience as he’s eight years into his head coaching career with an impressive 65-25 overall record. He’s led Wylie East to four straight playoffs appearances, district titles in 2022 and 2025, and three straight 10-win seasons. Gold also was the head coach at Whitehouse from 2018-2020 where he led the Wildcats to the playoffs three times and an area rounds appearance in 2019.

Cody Moore, OC Rockwall-Heath: Moore is one of multiple members of the Hawks current coaching staff with head coaching experience. He started the program at Denton Braswell in 2015 after being Webb’s offensive coordinator at Rockwall High. Moore came back to Rockwall in 2023 as Webb’s offensive coordinator at Rockwall-Heath. Moore became an assistant golf coach at Dallas Baptist University during the fall, but has since returned to the Heath coaching staff.

Gerry Stanford, HC Texarkana Texas High: A 15-year veteran head coach, Stanford has posted at least 10 wins in five of the past six seasons leading East Texas power Texas High. He has an outstanding career record of 128-48. He led White Oak to a state semifinal appearance in 2013 and he spent 2014-2016 as the head coach at Flower Mound Marcus. A move back closer to the DFW area could be very attractive for the current Tigers head coach.
