Lancaster is entering a new era in 2026, moving down from 6A to 5A with new head coach Stephen Jackson, who compiled a 22-3 record over the past two seasons at West Mesquite.

"The kids are awesome," Jackson said. "They've worked hard. Man, they bought in since day one. Lancaster has a history of tough kids, a passionate community; you could see that from day one. I’m just excited to be here."

While some things have changed, one thing is certain: The Tigers remain a known prospect factory and boast plenty of talent that will keep colleges flocking to the program.

2027 RB Victor Scott (6'0, 195): Scott has been patiently biding his time to get his hands on the No. 1 job as he has been playing behind Vanderbilt-bound RB Izayah Lee the past two seasons, while fighting through some injuries, but he is already a well-known name in recruiting circles. His first offer ever was from Georgia and he has plans to hopefully visit schools like Baylor and UTEP.  Scott, who boasts a 10.77 100-meter dash, reports 40 total offers.

"You’re always excited when your running football team inherits a running back with experience," Coach Jackson said. "He’s excited about our offense because he knows what we’re here to do. He should have a really big year if he does it right."

2027 S Tavarren Wade (6'2, 185): Louisiana Tech kicked off Wade's recruitment with his first offer and programs like UNLV, Nevada, Arkansas State, Auburn, UTEP, Southern Miss and Jacksonville State followed. The Second-Team All-District selection quickly passes the eyeball test and boasts 4.52 laser-timed 40-yard speed. He is a versatile defensive back who could play cornerback, safety or nickel at the next level.

"He definitely passes the eyeball test," Jackson said. "Long arms, big-time DB."

2027 QB Joseph Hairston (6'5, 210): Hairston will be a key figure on the 2025 squad as his development as the signal caller will open up the offense. He earned 11-6A Second-Team All-District honors after completing 60 of 92 passses for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

2028 S James Foster III (6'2, 200): Foster checks in as the No. 2 player in the state per the 247Sports Composite, marking him as one of the nation's most elite safety prospects. Foster, who was a day one varsity starter as a freshman, has collected 32 total scholarship offers. Foster mentioned Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Oklahonma, TCU, SMU and Arizona State as the programs that are recruiting him aggressively early on in his recruitment. He earned 11-6A First-Team All-District honors.

"The first day I walked in, I didn’t even get to introduce myself to him—he introduced himself to me," Jackson said. "He’s one of the most impressive kids I think I’ve been around in seventeen years of coaching. He's smooth, humble, very hardworking. He does all the right things. For him to be number two? He’s top two, but he’s not two to me. I think he’s the top kid in the state by far."

2028 LB Amir Adkinson (6'3, 210): A versatile defensive prospects who could be described as a thumper. He has collected 16 scholarship offers and his versatility as a defender could help him land way more. He has spent time playing inside linebacker and outside linebacker and is sharpening his skills as a defensive end this offseason. Texxas Tech, Baylor and Auburn have separated from the pack early on in Adkinson's recruitment. He

"They call him 'Bear' and you can see why," Jackson said. "He’s a special kid. The plans we have for him… he’s going to be able to play a lot of spots, but he can rush off that edge and get to the quarterback. That’s the number one need right now."

ATH Ky Ross (6'2, 175): Baylor, Houston, Auburn, Nebraska, Syracuse andmore have already offered this versatile athlete who plays the game with a chip on his shoulder. Ross has good track speed and the frame to to play on either side of the ball.

2028 WR Caleb Choice (6'4, 170): The yoounger brother of current Oklahoma WR Emmanuel Choice has a chance to be one of the team's breakout stars. He has a large catch radius and is super smooth, which we witnessed in spring ball last season. 2029 ATH Harper Williams (6'0, 170): College better go ahead and get Williams on the radar right now, because his recruitment has the chance to really pop off. He projects to the highst levels of P4 football and has early offers from Texas State and Oregon State. His 10.5 100-meter speed makes him special, but he also already possesses the size and frame that you want in a major recruit.

"He’s a two-way guy, but right now he can stretch the field, and we’ve got a big-armed quarterback who can get it downfield," jackson said. "So he’s going to be able to do that."

2029 ATH Bobby Wilson III (5'17, 170): Another freshman to know in the program, again because of his great speed. Coaches are high on his developmental upside and he could end up playing WR or DB depending on his growth and development in the proggram.
