Carthage 2026 RB KJ Edwards (5'9, 185) is officially the newest DCTX five-star in 2026, checking in as the No. 4 prospect in the 2026 DCTX Rising Hot 100.
Edwards has been one of the state’s most productive and explosive offensive weapons since he stepped onto the field for the Bulldogs in his freshman season.
With over 5,000 career rushing yards, Edwards showed out in the 4A Division II state championship in 2024, piling up 188 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to earn Offensive MVP honors.
Scouting Report: Edwards is a true three-down back with the vision to hit creases with cat-like quickness and the strength to finish runs with authority. His track background (10.99 in the 100 meters) shows up on film in his ability to separate. Edwards is also a natural pass-catcher with polished ball skills.
With over 30 offers, Edwards committed to Texas A&M over Alabama, LSU and Texas, becoming one of the headliners of the Aggies’ 2026 recruiting class.
