DENTON, Texas — Evaluating the Class of 2027 prospects who turned heads at the Under Armour Next Camp.

DB Jaden Bibbs (5'10, 180) - Coppell: Took home DB MVP honors after a very strong showing in the drills and the one-on-one portion. He started shedding his sleeper status heading into the event, with recent offers from Baylor and Utah. His rise should continue with college programs seeking talent in the secondary. He is now rated as a DCTX three-star.

WR Trysten Shaw (5'10, 165) - Mansfield Timberview: Slippery wide receiver who runs precise routes and was able to create separation consistently and looked smooth in drills. Shaw, who comes from a football family, recently decommitted from UCLA and has offers from a wide array of college programs. Good speed and added weight on his frame make him an intriguing prospect to track throughout the spring.

WR Lowery Asel (5'10, 170) - Frisco: Slot receiver who consistently was able to work over defensive backs with his quickness, proving to be a tough matchup. Army and Air Force are recent offers for him, and it's easily identifiable what they like in his game. Speed and quickness.

WR Ryan Taylor Jr. (5'11, 170) - Killeen Harker Heights: One of the more stock-up players from the event. Plays even bigger than his listed measurements. Smooth route runner who showed ability to get open on the intermediate routes and then flashed deep route skills. Oklahoma State was his most recent offers and he appears poised to generate a lot more buzz coming off of this performance.

RB Gyrell Smith (5'9, 190) - North Crowley: The Panthers brought a large contingent of talent to the event, but Smith continues to fly under the radar, and he looked athletic in the one-on-one portion of the event, showcasing his pass-catching ability. We knew all about his toughness in between the tackles, but this adds another layer to his skill set.

RB Carter Zahm (6'1, 200) - Rockwall-Heath: Zahm's all-around athleticism immediately jumped out. He is a taller back who could be used as an offensive Swiss Army knife. UTSA and East Carolina have recently stepped in with offers, noticing his potential at the next level. He passes the eye test quickly and shows some of that athleticism on tape in the return game, so more offers could be coming his way.

DT Mason Johnson (6'3, 270) - Mansfield Lake Ridge: The defensive line had a really strong day, and there were quite a few under-the-radar players of note, but Johnson has the size and the footwork to ultimately land at the P4 level. FBS programs like Tulsa, Western Kentucky and UNLV have offered.

OG Braylen Johnson (6'3, 305) - Arlington Seguin: A dominating interior offensive lineman who has the natural size and overpowering strength to completely stonewall defenders and open up massive run lanes.

OT Grant Gonzales (6'6, 295) - Waxahachie: Gonzales had a very strong day, especially in the one-on-one portion of the event, and it went largely under the radar. He is a stout offensive tackle with the power to kick inside at the next level. Legit height and frame potential accentuate his profile.

QB Johnny Hamilton III (6'2, 205) - Longview: Hamilton was one of the more physically imposing players regardless of position and was one of the few QBs in attendance who could consistently cut through a stiff breeze with his fastball, which backed up his big throw ability on his 2025 highlight tape. UTEP is his lone FBS-level offer.
