Each recruiting cycle, the top five prospects in Texas earn five-star status in Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, while the remainder of the Top 50 receive four-star ratings. The five five-stars in the Class of 2027 were unveiled last week as part of Five-Star Week presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods.
21 players in the Class of 2028 have been named to the initial five-star watch list and awarded four-star status as evaluations begin for next year’s Five-Star Week. The list may expand or contract based on school visits, coaching feedback, and performances at elite events throughout the offseason, and, most importantly, on on-field performances in 2026.
The players below are listed in alphabetical order.
