Last year's 2A Division I State Champion, Hamilton (248 enrollment), has moved on to 3A Division II, opening up the division for some competition.

2025's 2A Division II state champ, Muenster (180 enrollment), now one of the smallest schools in 2A DI, hopes to be a contender.
