Highest-Rated: 2024 WR Jadon Porter (Lorena):
The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder is sometimes overlooked on the recruiting scene as he has been a longtime commitment to Baylor, but he helped lead Lorena to a state title in his sophomore season and racked up over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior. Porter is rated as a four-star, checking in at No. 44 in the state in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100.
Top Underclassman: 2025 ATH Kelshaun Johnson (Hitchcock):
The 5-foot-11, 160-pounder has already secured 13 scholarship offers, including Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon and Penn State. Speed is the name of his game, as he will be one of the fastest players in his class, boasting a sub-11.00 100-meter time. Johnson has offers to play on both sides of the ball. The combination of Johnson and 2024 UNLV commit Damien McDaniel is scary.
MVP: 2024 RB Joseph Dodds (Tidehaven):
The 6-foot-0, 200-pounder helped Tidehaven to the regional finals in 2022, rushing for 1,633 yards and 12 touchdowns to earn first-team all-district honors. We expect an even bigger performance from him in 2023. The No. 94 prospect in the 2024 Hot 100 is verbally committed to playing his college ball at Baylor.
