Breaking down Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class.

Class Grade: A

Texas A&M landed a Top 10 recruiting class nationally and flexed its muscle all across the country, landing top-rated prospects from Georgia, Mississippi, Ohio, Utah, California, Florida, New Jersey, Arizona and Louisiana. It also secured key commitments from the Lone Star State to put a bow on a class whose impact is felt locally and nationally.

Three Key Additions

Who were the highest-rated signees or prospects who might come in and make a significant impact?

RB KJ Edwards (5'9, 185) - Carthage: A four-year varsity star for Carthage, Edwards is the definition of a game-changer. He blends punishing power with explosive burst, capable of breaking tackles or outrunning secondaries. His big-game pedigree is undeniable — earning Offensive MVP honors in the 4A Division II state title game at AT&T Stadium — cementing his DCTX five-star status.

DE Tristian Givens (6'3, 215) - Carver (Ga.): A five-star pass rusher who was pursued by all of the major schools across the nation. He has a quick first step and shows off his athleticism when he spends time playing WR/TE on offense.

OL Zaden Krempin (6'5, 270) - Prosper: An anchor at left tackle on what is arguably the nation's best prep OL unit. Krempin is dependable and technique-sound. He can set the edge or open up holes in the run game. He offers versatility, as he can play anywhere on the offensive line once he arrives in College Station.

Fan Favorite

What prospect was a fan favorite or a local hero who starred near the campus?

WR Mike Brown (5'11, 175) - Legacy School of Sport Sciences: The son of former Texas A&M linebacker Reggie Brown is an elite route runner who creates separation with his footwork and quickness. He's one of the more overlooked signings in this class, but he shouldn't be. His consistency as a route runner and his versatility to play inside-out should help him see the field.

Super Sleeper

We pick one prospect on the commit list and explain how he might outplay his ranking in college.

TE Kaeden Johnson (6'5, 215) - Fort Bend Marshall: The QB turned tight end has a very high developmental ceiling. He is extremely athletic and has shown his ball skills as a true dual-threat. The Auburn legacy checks in as the No. 1-rated TE in Texas in the 2026 cycle.
