Texas Longhorns Flip All-American DL from Baylor

Texas just landed four-star DE Jamarion Carlton, who says his connections in Austin and the Longhorns’ NFL development stands out in Austin.

Temple 2026 DL Jamarion Carlton (6'5, 260) has flipped his commitment from Baylor to Texas.

“Texas has always been in the mix a whole lot,” Carlton said. “They’ve got a coach down there who came from Ohio State (LaAllan Clark), and I’ve been knowing him since he came down because he was recruiting me. So that’s a pretty good relationship we have down there, and Coach PK (Pete Kwiatkowski) and Coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian) stand out a whole lot.

"It’s like a real family down there — a great way to get to the NFL, really, with their development.”

Carlton is rated as a DCTX four-star, checking in as the No. 13 overall prospect in the DCTX Rising Hot 100.

Carlton, who was a Navy All-American and named to the DCTX/Whataburger Super Team, has the ability to play all over the defensive front and may remind UT fans of former standout Alfred Collins.
