Arizona State WR Commit Joins Defending State Champs

South Oak Cliff got a boost on the offensive side of the ball with the news that DCTF Hot 100 wide receiver Elijah Baesa, who is committed to Arizona State, is transferring to the two-time defending state champs.

Elijah Baesa, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound wide receiver, announced on social media that he has transferred to South Oak Cliff just 10 days ahead of the Golden Bear's opening tilt versus Duncanville at SMU's Ford Stadium (8/25).

The game will pit the defending 5A Division II state champs against the defending 6A Division I state champs.

Baesa, who is verbally committed to Arizona State, collected ten receptions for 278 receiving yards and two touchdowns in seven games to earn second-team all-district honors at Mesquite as a junior in 2022.

Baesa is rated as the No. 88 prospect in the 2024 DCTF Rising Hot 100.
