Allen is not starting over on offense. It's reloading.
Under head coach Lee Wigington, the Eagles went 14-1 in 2025 and return a roster loaded with talent. The next wave is already in place, and it starts with a freshman trio that has quickly become one of the most talked-about groups in Texas.
QB Ty Snell, WR Zach Williams and TE Jaden Davis were all named to the DCTX Rising Top 25 for the 2029 class, and all three saw extensive varisty reps in 2025.
Snell steps into the spotlight after gaining varsity experience behind Florida Atlantic signee Jeremiah Daoud. He arrived last summer and immediately found his footing.
"It was really amazing," Snell said. "My parents put me in the best position where I could go out and execute. When I got there in July, the brotherhood that Allen provides was just amazing. The seniors, the juniors, the underclassmen everybody brings you up and supports you. They just let you go out and execute on the field. They all have your back no matter what."
Snell already holds more than 20 offers, including interest from national programs across the country, and his approach centers on control of the offense.
"I think one of my biggest strengths is leadership on and off the field," Snell said. "How I run the offense, how I read the defense, and just getting my players and receivers involved in the game, whatever the situation calls for."
He studies the game closely and models parts of it after Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed.
"We train with the same people and learn from the same people. That’s usually who I view my game after the way he extends plays and gets down the field."
Snell’s confidence continues to grow as his recruitment expands.
"Ohio State is one,” Snell answered when asked about some of his major offers. “Vanderbilt, Tennessee, SMU, South Carolina, Texas A&M, those are some big schools I’m looking at. Oregon too. I want to get up to all those schools, probably in the spring or summer, see the facilities again, talk to the coaches again and just keep building those relationships."
The foundation is in place around him.
Davis, a 6-foot-4, 255-pound tight end, played extensively as a freshman and earned second-team all-district honors. His role in the offense continues to grow as he builds chemistry with his quarterback.
"It feels good," Davis said. "It took some hard work. I don’t think it’s too much pressure with the people around me. It’s kind of normal now."
"I think as a group we went over the plays a bunch of times and just executed them. If there was something we didn’t know, we asked the coaches questions. We always tried to know what to do and execute the plays."
The connection with Snell is already in place.
"I think when he came in during the summer we built a pretty good bond," Davis said. "Since he got here, I feel like he’s going to be our starter."
"It’s amazing, and Ty is a good person," Davis added. "He just makes the players better and is a great person."
Davis brings size, focus and versatility to the offense.
"I feel like I bring good strength to the team," Davis said. "I’m pretty focused on the field. I have good speed, and I feel like I’m a good route runner."
After a 1,921-yard, 15-touchdown (88 receptions, 1,421 yards) freshman season at Bishop Lynch, Williams arrives at Allen with momentum. He has already picked up more than 20 offers and continues to produce on the camp circuit, picking up WR MVP honors at the Next Level Athlete Texas Top 100 Showcase.
"My freshman season was great," Williams said. "I think the reason it went so well was the offseason work I put in. I came in as a freshman and didn’t really know anybody, so I had to build relationships with my teammates and the coaches. The coaches trusted me a lot, and everything just came together."
The transition to Allen has been smooth.
"It’s great," Williams said. "I love the coaches and the brotherhood. Everybody brings you up. We trust each other, and everything is going well."
His confidence shows up in how he describes his skill set.
"I think what sets me apart is that I’m an all-around player," said Williams, who boasts offers from Texas A&M, Oregon, Nebraska, Florida, TCU, Colorado, Ole Miss, Kentucky and more. "My route running is amazing. I think I have the best route running in the United States of America. I get up the field very fast, make a man miss and then get upfield."
His connection with Snell goes back years.
"Yes sir, I’ve actually known Ty since I was eight years old," Williams said. "We already have that chemistry, and it’s just going to keep building. Being able to come to Allen together and keep developing that connection is big for us."
Could the trio’s bond move forward into college? Right now, they all boast offers from Florida State, so it is realistic.
Texas A&M has offers on the table for Snell and Williams. Could Davis be next?
Davis has a high interest in the Aggies.
“I like Texas A&M a lot,” Davis stated. “My mom’s a big fan, and it’s not too far from home.”
For now, they will do it on Friday nights at Allen. The rare opportunity to do it again on Saturdays already exists.
