What has become an annual rite of passage for Texas High School Football players in the summer will once again return to the Brazos Valley this June as the 2025 Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament will be held June 25-27 at Veterans Park in College Station.
The Texas State 7-on-7 Board of Directors also released the schedule of State Qualifying Tournaments (SQTs) where teams will punch their tickets to the State Tournament. The schedule for SQTs is listed at the link below:

The Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament is divided into three divisions:
Division I is comprised of teams that compete in Class 6A and 5A, plus TAPPS Division I and SPC in the private school ranks
2025 Champion: The Woodlands
Division II is comprised of teams that compete Class 4A and 3A DIvision I, plus all other private school teams
2025 Champion: Frisco Panther Creek
Division III is comprised of teams that compete in Class 3A Division II and smaller
2025 Champion: Tidehaven
Highlights from the Schedule for Each Division
Division I
*State Qualifying begins April 25 at Coppell with a 16-team event that will take two teams to the State Tournament
*Lubbock is the lone new host tournament with a third SQT coming to West Texas, the Hub City had previously hosted but did not host in 2025. This will be an eight-team event taking one team to the State Tournament.
*The weekend of June 5-6 will be the busiest weekend of qualifying featuring eight qualifying tournaments
*Qualifying wraps up on Saturday June 20 in Weslaco at the last chance Mid-Valley SQT which will be a sixteen-team even that takes two teams to state.
Division II
*State Qualifying begins May 2 in Hamshire-Fannett
*With Celina moving up to Class 5A they will no longer host, the two spots allotted for this SQT are split between new tournaments at Lamesa (8 teams, 1 qualifier) and Carrollton Ranchview (8 teams, 1 qualifier).
*Pantego Christian Academy in Arlington (8 teams, 1 qualifier) and Rockdale (8 teams, 1 qualifier) are also new tournament hosts.
*The weekend of May 30 will be busiest weekend of qualifying with eight tournaments that weekend
*The Battle of the Bay SQT in Port Isabel has not set a tournament date as of yet, currently the last scheduled Division II SQT is set for Saturday June 14 at Cameron Yoe.
Division III
*State Qualifying begins May 16 with tournaments in Millsap and Corrigan-Camden.
*All host sites from 2025 are back for 2026 as there are no new hosting sites.
*The weekends of May 29-30 and June 5-6 will be the busiest weekend of qualifying featuring four tournaments each weekend.
*Qualifying wraps up Thursday June 18 with the Wink SQT in Far West Texas.
