A closer look at Baylor's 2025 recruiting class and some top signees.

Class Grade: C-

Baylor lost some key recruits down the recruiting homestretch, but still signed some very important recruits, especially on the offensive side of the ball. It also won a hotly contested recruiting battle for four-star DE Jae'Lin Battle (see more below).

Three Key Additions

Who were the highest-rated signees or prospects who might come in and make a significant impact?

WR London Smith (6'0, 175) - Waco University: The Baylor legacy checks in at No. 20 in the DCTX Rising 100 and will be bringing culture-shifting pedigree with him to the Bears. He is the type of recruit that you can build an offensive strategy around.

DL Jae'Lin Battle (6'2, 280) - Edmond (Okla.) Santa Fe: This big man is extremely athletic and was highly coveted as programs worked to flip him right up until his pen hit paper on his BU Letter of Intent. He's super explosive and can control the line of scrimmage.

ATH Ryelan Morris (5'9, 160) - Honey Grove: Morris has been a true small-school star, dominating on both sides of the ball, but as he transitions to college, he will be an all-purpose running back who can stay on the field for all three downs.

Fan Favorite

What prospect was a fan favorite or a local hero who starred near the campus?

Quinn Murphy (6'2, 205) - Argyle Liberty Christian: Murphy is a team leader who carries himself with confidence that you can feel, and he is one of the best private school players of all-time, securing a state title win in 2024 and checking in at No. 3 all-time for TDs across all classifications.

Super Sleeper

We pick one prospect on the commit list and explain how he might outplay his ranking in college.

S Jordan Davis (6'2, 190) - Dallas HSAA: A prototype safety who flew under the radar due to the fact that he played in a lesser-known league, but he stood out in all of the major camps and will be a name that fans in Waco will get used to patrolling the secondary.
